Buttonwood Sundown

A few years back, after a couple of hours on the road coming back from Key West and being hungry, I turned into the driveway at Bayside Grille in Key Largo which looks out northwest toward Buttonwood Sound and Swash Keys. After a nice meal it seemed like a good opportunity to stroll around and see what the sights might be. The Grille restaurant was on the second floor and after a few shots there, …

TPC San Antonio, home of the Valero Texas Open

Original Article 24 Jun 2012 (there is 1 update below):  I had the opportunity to stay at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa in December of 2011, which is the setting for TPC San Antonio, including the AT&T Oaks Course where they play the Valero Open. From what I saw firsthand of the golf course, which I’ll admit wasn’t much, nothing looked easy on this course.

How to get a picture of a girl at the beach

First, you drive more than an hour out of your way to find the lighthouse you thought was a few minutes off the highway (I-75, near Boca Grande, Florida). How to get to Fisher Island, Miami

To get to Fisher Island just take the Fisher Island Ferry. It departs the terminal on the MacArthur Causeway, at the east side near Miami Beach, every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. It takes a few minutes to get there but it’s like going to a different world, a retreat with luxurious old-world style.
